about me
I’m Jamal, the founder of Steel Visuals. I grew up in Brighton, a small seaside suburb in Dunedin, and attended Otago Boys High. After school, I joined the Army and served for 8 years, including operational deployments in Iraq. Once I left the military, I returned home to help with my family’s small business.
During this time, I discovered my passion for photography and videography, and decided to turn it into a full-time pursuit. Steel Visuals is my way of combining my experiences and skills to create high-quality visual content that’s real, impactful, and authentic to your story.
